About Tessa Dunlop
Dr Tessa Dunlop holds a BA in Modern History from Oxford University, an MA with distinction from Sheffield Hallam University, and a PhD examining Romania’s international identity during the First World War. Alongside her academic work, she has built a successful broadcasting career presenting programmes for BBC2, Channel 5, Discovery, the History Channel, Living TV and BBC Wales, as well as contributing to Radio 4, the BBC World Service, Sky News, BBC Breakfast and Classic FM.
She is also the author of several acclaimed books, including The Century Girls, a Times Bestseller, and The Bletchley Girls, which explores the lives of fifteen women selected to work at Britain’s secret wartime organisation, Bletchley Park. Tessa regularly appears at literary and history festivals, where her engaging and humorous speaking style has made her a popular live performer.
An experienced keynote speaker and event host, Tessa brings together history, culture, politics and current affairs in a way that is insightful, intelligent and highly entertaining. She divides her time between London, Scotland and Romania.
