About Melvin Odoom

In 2010, Melvin and Rickie presented the backstage online content for Sky1‘s “Must Be the Music,” showcasing their ability to engage and entertain audiences in various formats. Melvin’s versatility continued with his role in Channel 4’s intros series, where he interviewed new and upcoming bands. He also hosted an MTV Leona Lewis special and presented BBC Blast for BBC Two, further highlighting his dynamic hosting abilities.

Since 2015, Melvin and Rickie have co-hosted ITV2‘s red carpet show at the BRIT Awards alongside Laura Whitmore, demonstrating his flair for live event hosting. Melvin’s charm and quick wit were also on display when he co-presented “The Xtra Factor” with Rochelle Humes. In 2016, Melvin participated in the fourteenth series of “Strictly Come Dancing,” where he was paired with Janette Manrara. Despite being the first to leave the competition, they triumphed in the “Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special.”

Melvin further showcased his hosting skills on Channel 4’s “Lego Masters,” where he brought energy and enthusiasm to the competition as teams built remarkable Lego creations. Since April 2019, Melvin, Rickie, and Charlie Hedges have been entertaining late-night audiences on BBC Radio 1 from 8-10 pm, Monday to Thursday.
