About Luke Roskell

Luke Roskell is an actor who started his career in the entertainment industry at a young age. He made his debut in the ITV miniseries ‘Mobile’ at just 10 years old. Afterward, he landed the lead role in the CBBC series ‘The Revenge Files of Alistair Fury,’ where he had to memorise extensive dialogue at the age of 12, grafting a full working week, all while living away from home.

One of his significant roles came in the BBC drama ‘The Accidental Farmer,’ where he acted alongside Ashley Jensen. However, his most prominent role to date was playing Sean Spencer in the long-running soap opera ‘Emmerdale’ from the ages of 14 to 17, totaling 266 episodes over a span of 3 years.

In 2015, Luke decided to challenge himself in live theater and led a play titled “Britannia Waves the Rules” at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester. This experience allowed him to thrive under the constant demand for high-performance and intense pressure.

His love for television led him back to the small screen, where he appeared on Sky 1’s ‘Jamestown’ for three years, spending five months each summer in Budapest. Following that, he was cast in the Starz series ‘Outlander’ and the ITV series ‘The Long Shadow.’ Additionally, he is set to appear in the Paramount+ series ‘Sexy Beast,’ which is based on the famous Ray Winstone/Ben Kingsley film. Luke Roskell’s career in the acting industry has seen him take on a variety of roles across television and live theatre, showcasing his versatility as an actor.
