Camilla Thurlow is a keen environmental campaigner and can be seen consistently engaging in humanitarian work and protests close to her heart.

Camilla Thurlow had already appeared on our television screens prior to her time on Love Island when was crowned Miss Edinburgh in years previously.

Despite being popular during her time on Love Island, it was following her departure from the show that Camilla’s stature and following really began to grow exponentially. ITVBe commissioned Camilla her own series after her time on Love Island, ‘What Camilla Did Next.’ With a real emphasis on her humanitarian efforts, this documentary proved just how multi-faceted Camilla really is. It made evident how effortlessly she managed to navigate everything from bikinis and ‘coupling up’ to bomb disposal work in Afghanistan.

Before her rise to fame, Camilla’s work in explosive ordnance disposal was relentlessly demanding, requiring her to work in some of the world’s most hostile environments such as Georgia, Mozambique, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. As part of her speaking engagements, Camilla often talks about her work, the dangers that arose as a result of it, and her work with charities such as Help Refugees, Halo Trust and Stand Up 2 Cancer.
