About Brian Conley

Beginning his career in stand-up comedy, Brian quickly became an instant hit with audiences. His success on stage led to leading roles in the West End, starring in Me and My Girl, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Hairspray, Oliver!, The Music Man, Barnum and Jolson, the latter earning him a Laurence Olivier Award nomination. He later starred in Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5 and played Scrooge at the Dominion Theatre, alongside countless pantomime appearances across the UK.

Brian’s television career is equally impressive. After working as a warm-up act for legends including Kenny Everett and Terry Wogan, he went on to front The Brian Conley Show, which became Britain’s most-watched entertainment programme at the time. He has since hosted and starred in numerous formats including Alive and Dangerous, We’ve Got Your Number, Let Me Entertain You, Dirty Rotten Cheater, The TV That Made Me, and the prestigious An Audience With… special.

As an actor, Brian has featured in award-winning sitcoms including Time After Time, Last of the Summer Wine and The Grimleys, showcasing his versatility across comedy and drama.

A recipient of both a British Comedy Award and a National Television Award for Most Popular Comedy Performer, Brian remains one of the UK’s most charismatic and enduring entertainers.
