Billy Billingham MBE
Billy Billingham MBE is the Chief Instructor on SAS: Who Dares Wins and a decorated SAS leader. After joining the military in 1983, he served in elite roles for over 20 years. He later became a bodyguard for A-list celebrities. Billy also appears on Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test and SAS: Catching the Criminals.

Billy Billingham MBE is Chief Instructor on the hit TV series ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’.
Billy is TV’s most experienced, highest ranking and most decorated SAS leader.
Joining the Parachute Regiment in 1983, Billy held numerous positions from Patrol Commander for worldwide operational tours, through to Training Instructor.
Billy passed selection and joined the SAS in 1991 as a Mountain Troop specialist.
Serving over 20 years in the SAS, he has been responsible for training, planning and executing strategic operations at the highest level in numerous locations including the UK, Iraq, Afghanistan, South America and Africa.
As a result, he received the Queen’s Commendation for Bravery and an MBE presented to him by HM Queen Elizabeth II.
Following a distinguished military career, Billy entered the world of body guarding.
With a formidable reputation, Billy protected many Hollywood A-list celebrities including Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Sir Michael Caine, Russell Crowe and Tom Cruise.
As well as being Chief Instructor on Channel 4’s long running series ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’, Billy is also a DS on the USA FOX TV prime-time hit series ‘Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test’, and presents the BBC One series ‘SAS: Catching the Criminals’.
