About Benjamin Zander
Benjamin Zander has persistently engaged well-informed musical and public intellectuals in a quest for insight and understanding into the western musical canon and the underlying spiritual, social, and political issues that inspired its creation.
His performances have inspired thousands of musicians, renewed their sense of idealism, and shed fresh, insightful, and sometimes provocative light on the interpretation of the central symphonic repertoire of the 19th and 20th centuries. Critics and the public have been united in their praise of Zander’s interpretations of the central repertory.
Benjamin Zander enjoys an international career as a speaker on leadership, with several keynote speeches at the Davos World Economic Forum, where he was presented with the Crystal Award for “Outstanding Contributions in the Arts and International Relations.” The best-selling book, The Art of Possibility, co-authored with leading psychotherapist Rosamund Zander, has been translated into twenty-two languages. In 2019, Zander was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the ABSA Achievement Awards in Johannesburg in recognition of his contributions in the spheres of Music, Culture and Leadership. This is the first time that the award has been given to a non-South African. Previous recipients of the Award include Nelson Mandela and Bishop Desmond Tutu. Zander’s TED talk on The Transformative Power of Classical Music has been seen by over 21 million people.

Testimonials
"What an amazing morning!! Your one hour has created an explosion of thought in our leaders and it’s given everyone the permission to think differently about leadership and the power of others. Personally, I was incredibly moved (as everyone saw) and will carry your words with me forever. Thank you again so much. Our world is lucky to have you."

"Each day I see many of our associates with eyes glazed over and morale in a downward spiral. Benjamin's message was inspiring, thought provoking and everyone I have spoken to since felt the same. It's easy to forget attitude and outlook are personal choice and those choices affect everyone that person interacts with. I know the town hall survey will come out eventually but I wanted to tell you how incredibly spot on you were with Benjamin as a keynote in both content and timeliness of the message."

"You leading our team into the adventure of exploring ourselves, killing our fears, understanding better our strengths and unlocking possibilities within ourselves, has really been an incredible journey transformed into beautiful music we all played in harmony. Thank you for opening this inspiring chapter of possibilities for us."

"In his presentation Ben explodes traditional leadership thinking and takes leadership out of the closet. He blows the door WITH its hinges off that closet, and you can never go back after working with Ben. His leadership view is unconventional, irreverent and bold. Its impact is without boundaries. I have seen Ben Zander's teaching transform entire teams through Possibility in ways that are nothing short of magical with results that are nothing short of exemplary. He is a catalyst for Excellence."

"Dear Ben - The safe space that you created in that auditorium allowed us to experience self-expression in a challenging and nurturing way. You took a simple everyday act like singing happy birthday and showed us that by giving it our all (by giving it your all) we could move each other to tears of joy. I thank you for the bottom of my heart for such a wonderful lesson. I now carry the possibility of joy inside me."

"In his passionate, almost savagely energetic monologues, Zander leaps about the stage from his piano to a flip chart and back to the piano. He plays, lectures, spins tales, and pushes his audience to laugh, cry, and sing…"

"If we could simply bottle it, and sell it as an elixir, not only could we make a few bucks, but also change the world."
