Angela Scanlon

Angela began her career as a stylist before moving into television, where she quickly became known for her curiosity, relatability and fearless interviewing style. Her first major documentary, Oi Ginger!, aired on RTÉ in 2014 to critical acclaim, leading to the follow-up series Angela Scanlon: Full Frontal, where she explored taboo and trending topics with honesty and humour.

Since joining the BBC, Angela has fronted an impressive range of programmes, from The One Show, Robot Wars (alongside Dara Ó Briain) and Your Home Made Perfect, to BBC Three’s Trumps Unlikely Superfans, as well as major live broadcasts including T in the Park and the BAFTAs. She also hosts her own primetime RTÉ chat show, Angela Scanlon’s Ask Me Anything, and in 2023 showcased her talent to millions as a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing with Carlos Gu.
