Her second novel, And So I Roar, won the inaugural Climate Fiction Prize — a landmark international award recognising fiction that meaningfully engages with the climate crisis. In recognition of her influence at the intersection of culture and climate, Abi was named to The Independent’s Climate 100 Power List, appearing alongside leading global climate activists, policymakers and cultural figures including Prince William, Greta Thunberg, and Sadiq Khan.
A highly sought-after speaker, Abi has delivered keynotes at Harvard Business School, Harvard Kennedy School, the UK House of Lords, the Financial Times, Accenture, London Business School, and international schools and conferences across Europe and beyond. Her talks leverage the power of storytelling to explore education, climate justice, women’s rights, leadership, and the power of voice.

supporting the education and empowerment of girls in underserved communities in Nigeria.
Abi is also the co-founder of WellTold, a strategy and storytelling consultancy helping organisations discover, build and embed their most powerful narratives.
In 2024, Abi received an Honorary Doctorate of Letters from Glasgow Caledonian University in recognition of her contributions to literature and advocacy. She has been featured in several publications including The New York Times, The Guardian, Oprah Magazine, ELLE, and People Magazine.
