Donald Trump
Donald Trump is not a happy man
The President of the United States of America is hugely frustrated because of a book by Mary L Trump. He has called her a mess.
I wasn’t going to buy the book but in the end I gave in. But I couldn’t resist it. I simply had to order it. Mary is Donald Trump’s niece and the book, “Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man” is a tell-all book. It was published on July 14, 2020, by Simon & Schuster.
Mine arrives today.
I really don’t want to prejudge so have deliberately not read anything about the book in advance. But it is hard not to do so as Donald Trump is pretty transparent in his body language and tweets. He attracts words like narcissist, sociopath, aggressor, adversarial, trigger happy, engaging mouth before brain……
Donald Trump Himself
Donald Trump fascinates me. He wears a uniform for starters. I would enjoy a peek into his dressing room as I have visions of a wardrobe full of navy-blue suits. They appear to be the same colour, the same style. Maybe there are 1000 white shirts starched and lined up ready to be worn. Extra-long red ties everywhere too. Oh, and I hope I would see the famous black masks of which I hope there are many. I wonder if they will be discarded everywhere. I know he hates wearing them.
His body language speaks volumes too. His gestures, his manners, his attitude, his expressions and vocal tones.
The man’s vanity intrigues me. Who gets a spray tan or jumps on a tanning bed these days only to walk around with tiny white circles where the mini goggles have been? His shades of tan differ dramatically and often distracts me from the story to hand. He is quoted as saying he didn’t want to wear a mask because he would look foolish in one.
I’m no expert but Donald’s body language and behaviour reminds me of a child who lashes out because he feels scorned or cornered. He has brought a whole new meaning to, ‘throwing his toys out of the pram’. At times he appears incredibly churlish too. I don’t think the public have really seen that in a President before.
Mary L Trump
I changed my mind about buying the book, after hearing that Mary L. Trump is a clinical psychologist. She holds a PhD from the Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies. Furthermore she has also taught graduate courses in trauma, psychopathology, and developmental psychology. So hopefully her psychological observations of her Uncle are much more likely to be from a professional standpoint.
I must admit I am already agreeing with the title of this book. And I guess by the end of the book I will be even more convinced that it describles him to a tee.
