About Trude Mostue

Trude Mostue did her studies at Bristol School of Veterinary Science and graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 1996. At the same time, she was approached by the BBC to take part in the documentary Vet School . This series became hugely popular and was at one point viewed by more than 12 million viewers twice a week .

Biography

The BBC continued to make documentaries about the vets from the original vet school series and Vets In practice soon became one of the most popular documentaries ever shown on the BBC with a total of 11 series ( each series 6 episodes )

Trude went on to present tv programs and went on to combine her veterinary work with filming several series with the BBC. Other series included Vets on Holiday , Vets In the Wild Vets in the Country and Vets to the Rescue. Throughout her TV career Trude has continued to work as a veterinarian. Furthermore the is currently the Norwegian Government’s Polar Bear Expert.

The author of three books to date, Trude wrote ‘Wild about Animals’ & ‘Pets in Practice’ both published by Andre Deutch. She also wrote ‘Vets in the Wild’ which was published by Box Tree. For the last three years she has been writing a weekly column for a Norwegian Daily Newspaper called VG. She has also contributed to the ‘Pet Slot’ in Sainsbury’s Magazine, and ‘Star Pets’ in The Western Daily and Scottish Sunday Mail.
