About Wendy Turner Webster

Wendy Turner Webster is a well-known TV presenter, writer, actress, and passionate vegan and domestic abuse campaigner. Best known for seven years fronting Channel 4’s hit series Pet Rescue, she has become one of the UK’s most trusted voices in animal welfare and compassionate advocacy.

Wendy began her career in radio before moving into television with Live TV, later hosting programmes including Absolutely Animals, Pet Rescue Roadshow, Family Pet Rescue, Your Kids Are In Charge, The Last Word and Nickelodeon’s You Do Too. She also featured in the BBC’s landmark domestic violence documentary Hitting Home.

A committed campaigner, Wendy is Patron of multiple organisations including The Vegan Society, The Vegetarian Society, Born Free, Viva!, and numerous rescue charities. She supports a wide range of causes from animal rights to women’s safety, bringing authenticity and conviction to every platform.

As an author, she has written across genres—from the Refuge-supported novel The End of Emily West, drawn from her own lived experience, to children’s books Underneath the Underground and Further Tales, and the vegan Absolutely Animal Free Cookbook. Recent works include her thriller Burnt Wood Farm and children’s novel A Sky Full of Scaffolding. She also co-created and presented the TLC series Crafty Beggars.
