Samantha Baines

An accomplished presenter, Samantha has fronted programmes for BBC One’s The One Show, BBC Morning Live and RIP Off Britain, and is the host of the hit podcasts The Divorce Social and Silly News. Her background in comedy—spanning seven years of stand-up, two sell-out Edinburgh Fringe runs and a UK tour—gives her a confident, relatable stage presence, whether she’s delivering a keynote or chairing a high-profile discussion.

Alongside her broadcasting and speaking work, Samantha is an established actress and BAFTA member, with credits including Netflix’s The Crown, Call the Midwife, Silent Witness and Magic Mike Live (directed by Channing Tatum). She is also a regular contributor across BBC radio and national news outlets.

Samantha is the author of two children’s books with deaf protagonists, including the award-winning Harriet Versus the Galaxy (which she also narrates on Audible) and The Night the Moon Went Out for Bloomsbury Education. Her bestselling non-fiction book, Living With Hearing Loss and Deafness: A Guide to Owning It and Loving It, has further cemented her position as a powerful advocate and thought leader in this space.

Her speaking and hosting experience includes appearances at the House of Commons, Edinburgh International Book Festival, British Film Academy, RNID charity summit, National Museum of Scotland, Exeter University, Birkbeck University, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and across BBC Radio 2, Radio 4 and 5 Live, as well as disability networks nationwide.
