Maddie Moate

A pioneer in educational digital content, Maddie has spent more than 15 years creating award-winning STEM videos on YouTube, building a community of over 320,000 subscribers and attracting more than 94 million views. By blending entertaining storytelling with hands-on learning, she has inspired millions of children and families to stay curious about science, engineering and technology. Her YouTube channel was recognised with a Kidscreen Award in 2022.

Maddie is perhaps best known for presenting the hugely popular CBeebies series Maddie’s Do You Know?, which ran for five successful series and earned her a BAFTA Children’s Award. She has since become a familiar face across British television, hosting programmes including Make Yourself At Home, Something Special, Springwatch Wild Academy, Show Me The Honey and Maddie’s Urban Jungles, while also appearing on The One Show, Morning Live, This Morning, The Gadget Show and ITV’s Goodwood Festival coverage.

An accomplished author, Maddie has published several bestselling children’s non-fiction books with Puffin, bringing complex STEM concepts to life in an engaging and accessible way. She has also successfully taken science to the stage, writing, producing and presenting live theatre shows that captivate audiences nationwide. Her West End production Maddie’s Very Curious Christmas received an Olivier Award nomination before returning for a second successful run.

Alongside her broadcasting career, Maddie has collaborated with leading organisations and global brands including LEGO, Samsung, Amazon, Kew Gardens and GCHQ, helping to inspire the next generation through creative science communication. In recognition of her outstanding contribution to STEM education, she was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Science by the University of East Anglia in 2026.
