Representing Scotland, British Athletics, and Team GB, Jake is best known for his extraordinary performance in the 1500 metres, where he claimed gold at the 2022 World Championships in Eugene, Oregon. This iconic victory made him the first British man to win the title in this event since Steve Cram in 1983, this was uniquely commentated on by his father and coach, Geoff Wightman.
