About Dame Laura Davies

Dame Laura Davies is a true legend of women’s golf, boasting an incredible 87 tournament victories worldwide. Since turning professional in 1985, she has claimed four major championships, including the US Women’s Open, two LPGA Championships, and the Du Maurier Championship.

A former Women’s World Number 1 and a proud member of the World Golf Hall of Fame, Dame Laura is also the record points scorer in Solheim Cup history, having represented England and Europe in 12 consecutive tournaments between 1990 and 2011. She contributed to four winning teams as a player and later served as vice-captain for the victorious European squads in 2019, 2021, and 2023.

Dame Laura’s success extends to senior golf, where she has won both the Senior Women’s US Open and the Senior Women’s LPGA Championship. In recognition of her outstanding contribution to the sport, she was made a Dame in the 2014 Honours List for Services to Golf.

Widely regarded as Britain’s greatest female golfer, Dame Laura now balances her time between competing, commentating for Sky Sports, and attending corporate and private events.
