LGBTQ+ Speakers

The month of June was chosen for LGBT Pride Month to commemorate the Stonewall riots, which occurred at the end of June 1969

As a result, many pride events are held during this month to recognize the impact LGBT people have had in the world.

LGBT speakers are invaluable to a fully integrated and happy workforce.  Thankfully many businesses understand the power of a workplace that is truly inclusive. A workplace where all LGBT employees are accepted.

Companies recognize an inclusive workplace provides a healthy environment for employees resulting in improved individual, business, and organisational outcomes.

The Speakers Agency has many respected LGBT speakers. They address the ever-important topics of diversity and inclusion in the workplace. They have the requisite understanding of cultural issues affecting the LGBT community. Furthermore, they can assist businesses to encourage acceptance and awareness among the employees.

In addition, businesses holding events to help their teams recognize the value of different perspectives proves a lot. For instance, that they are prepared to embrace and create positive change.

And that is where we come in.

The Speakers Agency will work very closely with you and to your specific LGBT event brief

This is to ensure you are offered the best recommendations. This way you will be sure to deliver your true objective.

These fantastic speakers can talk about their own moving and personal experiences. They explain they have overcome struggles and become extremely successful and respected individuals. All are truly inspirational and will help change the mindsets of an engaged audience.

Our speakers talk on a variety of LGBT topics. Some share their own personal stories including the obstacles they faced. They discuss the discrimination they encountered and where they found the courage to ‘come out.’   Others talk of their efforts to address the equality gap experienced by professionals working within the many work sector who identify as LGBT. In every industry and every area of the workforce.

Here are some of our speakers who are happy to speak specifically on LGBT topics:

Martina Navratilova

Arguably the best tennis player ever to play the game, Martina has amassed an unmatched number of professional records during a career that spanned an amazing four decades.  All the time proving herself to be one of the most intriguing, outspoken and respected figures of the 20th and 21st century.

Martina is a staunch supporter of women’s issues, gay rights, ethical treatment of animals, environmental protection and AIDS research.

Kate Richardson-Walsh

Kate is the most capped GB female hockey player ever and was captain of GB women’s hockey teams for 13 years.  In 2016 Kate captained the women’s hockey team to their first gold medal at an Olympics. The team was undefeated throughout the tournament, beating the Netherlands in the final on penalties and she was selected to be the Team GB flag bearer at the closing ceremony for the Rio Olympics. In winning gold Kate-Richardson Walsh also made history in other ways, becoming one half of the first same-sex married couple to win an Olympic medal playing in the same team. She is married to her team mate GB Helen Richardson-Walsh.

Remy Blumenfeld

Remy  is the founder of Brighter Pictures, where he created Get A New Life, Tabloid Tales and There’s Something About Miriam.  Later, as director of formats at ITV Studios, Remy was responsible for the birth of shows such as Four Weddings and The Chase.  He was also at the helm for the global roll out of Come Dine With Me and I’m A Celebrity.  Remy has created, produced and sold dozens of the world’s most ground breaking, successful reality TV shows.
