About Monty Halls

Monty Halls uses spectacular images, collected on his travels, to make usually inaccessible places accessible. He makes clear how we can learn from our ecosystems, how fundamental the preservation of our world is, and how we can achieve objectives in an environment that is ever-changing. As an after-dinner speaker, he shares his stories and can apply the knowledge acquired and lessons learnt over the years to make them relevant to business settings.

Biography

Monty Halls rose to prominence when he formed his own expedition company and led a group of divers to rediscover a lost, sunken city off the coast of India. He has spent the last ten years navigating the Globe and making documentaries, films and series for the likes of the BBC, Channel 4 and the National Geographic.

He has circumnavigated the globe a total of three times over the course of his many adventures. He has been involved in a vast array of projects, from peace process in South Africa with Nelson Mandela to the hunt for £2 million in gold bullion on a sunken P&O liner.

Shows such as Great Ocean Adventures saw Monty document his travels, while The Perfect Weapon made clear his knowledge of medieval warfare. The BBC2 show Great Escapes saw Monty flee the city and document his experiences living in the remotest part of Scotland and Ireland. Monty has even instilled his exploratory interests and bravery into his children, and in television show My Family and the Galapagos, took his wife and daughters to experience life on the Ecuadorian Islands and highlight conservation efforts.
